Doctors Missed the Lung Cancer, Suit Claims

STOCKTON, Calif. (CN) – A woman sought treatment of her chest pain for two years before she was diagnosed with lung cancer, according to her San Joaquin County Superior Court lawsuit.

Vanessa Calderon sues Adventist Health Lodi Memorial Hospital, Robert Goh, M.D., Edmund Freund, M.D., Lodi Health Physicians Millsbridge Family Care, Frank Hartwick, M.D., Delta Radiology Medical Group, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and The Permanente Medical Group, Inc. for medical malpractice. 

Calderon says she consulted defendants for diagnosis and treatment of her medical conditions, including chest pain, since May 29, 2015, but their care was negligent, and on July 26, 2017, she was finally diagnosed with lung cancer, resulting β€œin certain permanent injury and disability,” according to the action.

Calderon seeks general and special damages, as well as legal costs. She is represented by Blake P. Bostwick, of Bostwick & Peterson, LLP in Mill Valley, California.
