     CUYAHOGA, OHIO (CN) - A husband sued Kaiser Permanente over the death of his wife, accusing Kaiser of failing to providing standard surgical and medical care which caused her "conscious pain and suffering and death."
     The patient sought out defendants for medical care including medical treatment for back and spine problems, a wound infection and various medical conditions including DVT," according to the complaint.
     Plaintiff alleges that Kaiser and others, "their agents, servants and/or employees rendered negligent medical treatment, in that they failed to provide surgical and medical care and treatment within the accepted standard care ... they failed to provide surgical and medical care and treatment within the accepted standard of care."
     "As a direct and proximate result of the joint, combined and concurrent negligence of all defendants, Mary L. Carroll sustained personal injury including conscious pain and suffering and death," the suit claims.
