Kaiser Blamed for Baby’s Brain Damage

     SAN FRANCISCO (CN) – Kaiser’s mistakes left a baby with brain damage, her mom claims in San Francisco County Superior Court.

     Lorraine McGee, a minor, by and through her guardian ad litem, Brittni Frazier, sued Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, dba Kaiser Foundation Hospital – San Francisco and The Permanente Medical Group, Inc., for medical malpractice and negligence.
     “Said acts of negligence include, but are not limited to, negligently failing to treat and care for her fetal distress and intolerance to labor, and to timely deliver her, all of from which the minor plaintiff now suffers with severe brain damage and other neurological injuries,” the complaint states.
     Lorraine McGee, now almost three, and Brittni Frazier (her mother) seek general damages, past and future medical expenses, loss of future earnings and earning capacity and costs of suit. They are represented by Bruce G. Fagel in Beverly Hills.
