OAKLAND, Calif. (CN) – A woman claims Kaiser sent her home too soon after botching surgery, worsening her health problems, in a medical malpractice complaint filed  in Alameda County Superior Court.

Renee Pollard sued Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, and Permanente Medical Group.
“On or around May 17, 2016, defendants and each of them failed to perform surgery properly and then failed to monitor plaintiff’s post-operative condition. The failure resulted in a premature discharge from hospital and worsening problems,” the complaint states.
Pollard says she has had great mental and physical pain and suffering, and will have some permanent disability due to Kaiser’s actions.
She seeks general damages, reimbursement for past, present, and future medical expenses, and any other relief deemed proper by the court.
She is represented by Lawrence Strick of San Rafael.
