SAN FRANCISCO (CN) – A woman claims Kaiser doctors botched her hip replacement surgery, leaving her severely injured, in San Francisco County Superior Court.

Margaret Frodel sued Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, Kaiser Permanente, Southern California Permanente Medical Group, and Dr. Stephen Mears Nagy III, alleging medical malpractice.
Frodel says she went to Kaiser on Sept. 2, 2015 to have a total left hip replacement.
But the surgeons and nurses who performed the operation messed up, leaving her with permanent injuries, the complaint states.
The complaint does not state what the doctors allegedly did wrong or what Frodel’s injuries are.
Thanks to Kaiser, Frodel says, she had to have additional surgery to correct their mistakes, and pay for ambulance services, x-rays, medications, and other medical supplies and services.
She seeks reimbursement for medical costs and loss of income, as well as court costs and fees.
She is represented by Andrew Nissen with Stanton T. Matthews & Associates of Laguna Hills.
