SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (CN) - Kaiser doctors were responsible for a man's loss of vision in one eye, he claims in San Bernardino County Superior Court.

Anar Alsunna sued Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc., Kaiser Foundation Hospitals, Southern California Permanente Medical Group, and five individuals – Adriana Michelle Ramirez, M.D., Monique Young, M.A., Susie Phan-Wright, O.D., Victoria Chen-Espinoza, M.D. and John P. Liboon, M.D. – for medical malpractice.

“As a proximate result of the negligence, carelessness or otherwise wrongful conduct of defendants and each of them, plaintiff suffered injuries and damages, including but not limited to loss of vision in his right eye and related complaints. Plaintiff is presently unaware of the full nature and extent of plaintiff’s injuries. Plaintiff is informed and believes and thereon alleges that the loss of vision occurred on or about Jan. 15, 2014,” the complaint states.

Alsunna seeks medical and related expenses, loss of earnings and earning capacity, prejudgment interest and costs of suit. He is represented by Richard M. Katz of Pasadena.
