SANTA ANA, Calif. (CN) - A young father’s widow and children blame Kaiser for his death, in Orange County Court.

Amber Harper, widow of Jason Harper, sued as an individual and as guardian ad litem for 10-year-old Dane Sexton and five-year-old Brody Harper, the couple’s two children, for wrongful death.
“At the time of his death, Jason Harper was 33 years of age and a strong and healthy person,” the lawsuit states.
The lawsuit does not specify the cause of Harper’s death. He died on May 21, 2014 after having visited Kaiser several times in the preceding days, it says.
The family seeks general damages, medical expenses, loss of income, loss of Jason Harper’s services, housekeeping expenses, funeral and burial expenses, costs of suit, interest, a jury trial and damages for loss of love, companionship, affection, society and solace. They are represented by Richard A. Cohn of Aitken Aitken and Cohn in Santa Ana.
